DOWN THERE
Woman Made Gallery
April 13, 2024 - May 11, 2024
My much awaited Venus Flytrap painting will be part of the Down There exhibition at Woman Made Gallery this spring. This exhibition focuses on the vulva which has been historically relegated as shameful, dirty, or impure across cultures and bodies with vulvas and/or vaginas that have been both misunderstood and insufficiently studied by scientists and doctors for centuries. The exhibition seeks to lift back imposed veils of stigma and mystery, bringing to the forefront conversations around vulvar anatomy, vocabulary, diversity, and emotionality which is a theme central to my work. I am honored to be a part of this amazing show.

women’s work
Indianapolis Art Center
June 18, 2021–August 10, 2021
Women’s Work is a juried exhibition centered on gender and feminist politics. Historically, women have been excluded from the art world, from being kept out of academies and apprenticeships to being woefully underrepresented in galleries and museums today. Along with this, the art skills that were deemed feminine or appropriate for women, such as sewing, embroidery, or weaving, are dismissed as “just” crafts and hobbies. This exhibition, open to women-identified and non-binary artists from the local and national community, seeks to highlight female artists and intersectionality in femininity.
My pieces Stems 1 + Stems 2 will be available for sale at the exhibition.
